Apostle Franz Fletcher
Bio
An engineer by trade, and a visionary by God. He was raised in the Brethren Assembly and once he completed studies focused primarily on his trade. On the second of June, 1985 with his marriage on the proverbial rocks, he had an encounter with God at home one faith-filled Sunday morning which landed him on the floor. The Lord told him to go in search of a church, and he drove and made stops at various churches across Kingston, but it was when he heard the vibrant worship ringing out from Church On The Rock in Nazareth (the first edifice) that the Lord confirmed it was that one. After Apostle David Keane delivered the sermon that Sunday morning, Franz was moved to respond to the altar call. At the altar, Apostle David Keane’s brother, Andrew, prophesied in tongues that Apostle Keane was now his pastor and that he should submit to him. At that altar was his wife, now Senior Pastor Dianne, who he was separated from and as it was a communion Sunday and the cups ran short couples were asked to share. Though both initially hesitant the Holy Spirit was at work and they shared the communion cup and thus began the healing and reconciliation of the marriage, and the beginning of their journey with Church On The Rock.
In submission to the prophetic word that was released that Sunday morning Apostle Franz was mentored by Apostle Keane over the years where Apostle Keane shared the importance of the vision of the church (Isaiah 61: 1-3) to Apostle Franz as the call that we as Christians should carry. As the years went by the mentorship continued and after that fateful New Year’s Eve service in 2001 there was a need for someone to lead the burgeoning congregation on Honeyhill.
After the death of Apostle Keane in 2014, the assembly needed a new apostle to guide the ministry. Apostle Franz was then appointed to the office of an apostle in the church in line with 1 Corinthians 12:28. Apostle Franz in 2021 was given a vision for how the church was to move and as such shared Vision 2022 as to how the church would make an impact in the surrounding communities and the wider nation.
From Vision 2022 came the HoneyHill Community Transformation Institute (HCTI) established in 2023 with a goal of reaching unattached members of society and giving them the tools, guidance, mentorship and support for them to become dynamic leaders in their communities and the wider society.
Apostle Franz currently has oversight of the Board of Elders, HCTI and the HCTI Foundation.
